The Food Relief Program is not just about providing food to our families.
It is about providing them with the support and resources they need. Each
family that participants must also participate in the Home Economics
workshop and actively engage in looking for work. .
- Home Economics:
This workshop’s objective is to provide basic skills to families in
creating and controlling the family budget. Volunteers or student
interns will teach the workshop under the supervision of the Community
Coordinator and the assistance of the Sustained Development Coordinator
in the communities.
- Job Search:
The computer lab will be available to participants with links to job
search sites in Tijuana. Volunteers and student interns will provide
technical support and résumé assistance. There will be a monthly job
interviewing techniques workshop to provide further support.
