This Corazón Experience is at the center of all our other programs. It is our U.S. and Mexican volunteers ,true hearts and souls of Corazón, working together, teaching classes, running sports clinics, constructing houses, sponsoring scholarships, donating funds and materials, working for and with their friends and neighbors.

It is then sharing their experiences, telling their Corazón stories to their friends, neighbors, church members and co-workers, thus encouraging wider participation. No words or pictures can ever adequately describe the experience of a Corazón day in Mexico. Quite simply, it is the joy and satisfaction of giving a little of yourself to make a difference in other people’s lives. The Corazón program has always been about more than just service projects in Mexico, it is about fostering a unique, reciprocal awareness through the building of community across borders.

The goal of this program is to encourage mutually beneficial relationships across borders by:

Everyone learns to overcome barriers like language and prejudice. Lifetime memories are made. Families bond, not just with each other but also with other families from both sides of the border.

Corazón’s programs bring neighbors together into a larger community, inspiring relationships across physical, linguistic, economic and cultural borders, thus making both communities better. Become a part of the Corazon community, by volunteering or donating. Experience the heart of giving, experience the Corazón experience.

“There is always work to be done with Corazón. For the people with a big heart, we need you. And all the bad boys out there, lets turn your life around.”
